We recognise that employment needs, vary across our community. We are committed to responding to the wider needs of the Clutha District and can provide support to people of any age, helping connect them with the right opportunities, resources and pathways for their individual circumstances.
Our Goal
To walk alongside young people to support them into employment and growing positive relationships with local businesses so it's successful for all parties involved. Jobbortunities aims to remove all barriers and build empowered youth.

The Jobbortunities Programme
Jobbortunities is a local employment support programme dedicated to the Clutha community. Delivered by the Clutha District Council in partnership with the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs (MTFJ) and MSD, we provide tailored assistance to help local people overcome barriers and find sustainable paths into the workforce.
Our dual goal is to connect our people with meaningful work while providing local businesses with the support they need to grow. By building strong relationships and removing obstacles, we foster a thriving local economy and empower our youth to succeed right here in Clutha.
How we help job seekers
We work alongside people who are looking for employment, helping them overcome barriers and build the confidence, skills and support they need to find and keep a job. Whether you're entering the workforce for the first time, returning after a break or facing challenges that make employment difficult, we're here to help every step of the way.

Supporting Local Businesses
We also partner with small and medium-sized businesses throughout Clutha by providing support with: Recruitment and candidate matching, training opportunities, wage subsidy assistance and ongoing employment support.
